Good afternoon Fellow Travelers 🐞
I went for an early morning walk on the trail just behind the lodge, was early and still cool so I was worried the hippos would be out and about, so I didn’t venture too far! St. Lucia, Cape Vidal and everything in between is absolutely magnificent!
After breakfast, I headed to Ballito, stopping in at a forest naturally; what a way to have morning coffee! It’s the first time I have been in a forest when the wind was blowing, it was surreal to watch the trees as if they were dancing. Lesson learnt; bend but don’t break.
Popped into Zinkwazi Beach and made it to Jakita’s Guest House in Ballito just after lunch. It’s the second time I am staying here, as I loved it so much the first time. I had a long chat with the owner, Katrina, what an interesting lady. She back-packed through Africa solo!
The wind is up, so after my swim I am indoors writing my blog. No beach walk as I planned.
